*Accepting New Clients!*

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, beginning at age four, with a particular passion for supporting children and adolescents.

My therapeutic approach is person-centered and tailored to each individual’s needs, incorporating child-centered play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). I work with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns and strive to create a supportive, safe, and compassionate environment for growth and healing.

I am a proud Veteran and a retired Veteran’s spouse. This gives me a personal understanding about the unique challenges faced by those who serve and their families. I am passionate about working with Military members retired and active, their families, and first responders. I value the resilience, strength, and sacrifices within these communities

Outside of work, I enjoy camping, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.

Missy Cory, LCPC, SEP (she/her)

My approach to counseling is strengths based, somatic and existential. This means I believe the primary resource in the process is you. I value your experiences and innate desire to create a meaningful life. That said, this being human thing is hard sometimes! We may find ourselves in patterns misaligned with how we intend to navigate our lives. Perhaps you want a greater understanding of yourself or want to work with (not against) your amazing, complex nervous system. I come from a holistic approach and believe knowing ourselves fully is important.

I offer an integrative approach to wellness. I value the mind-body connection and believe healing can be pivotal when engaged on multiple levels. I am a long time practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu Acupressure, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and deepening my training in Touch Skills for Trauma Therapy. This means I integrate body based experiential therapy oriented toward nervous system regulation and resilience.

The connection you have with your counselor in a safe, honest environment can help facilitate valuable growth. I view our time together as a collaboration focused on your self-exploration, needs and goals. My aim is to help you discover (or remember) the resources you have within and refine how you choose to engage life in a meaningful way.
